There was a Columbus City Sales Tax Extension measure on the May 11 ballot in Platte County for voters in the city of Columbus.

This measure was approved

  • YES 2,429 (73.43%)Approveda
  • NO 879 (26.57%)[1]

This measure asked voters if they wanted to extend the 1 percent sales tax that was due to expire in April of 2010. This measure will extend the tax for a further seven years and will be used mainly to maintain and upgrade streets and capital improvements.[2]
