Language on the ballot:
| “ | Shall the limitation upon the total amount of general ad valorem taxes imposed upon real and tangible personal property for all purposes in any one year under the Michigan Constitution be levied in the Township of Comins, Michigan by .5 mills (which is equal to $0.50 per $1,000.00 of taxable value of all such property) for a period of four years, 2012 through 2015 inclusive, for the purpose of acquiring equipment for the use by the Comins Township Fire Department? The amount of revenue the township will collect if the millage is approved and levied by the township in the first year is estimated to be $31,215.[1][2] | ” |
