The Community & Regional Affairs Committee is a standing committee of the Alaska State Senate.

Per the Uniform Rules, committees of the Alaska State Senate are assigned by the Committee on Committees. The Committee on Committees is appointed and chaired by the presiding officer and has five members. Committees are assigned after each election. What constitutes a quorum for committees is not defined.[1]

Function

Per Uniform Rule 20-a, the Community & Regional Affairs Committee is to consider "the programs and activities of the Department of Commerce, Community, and Economic Development that primarily relate to local government and government services or functions in the unorganized borough, and other matters relating to political subdivisions."[2]
