The Compact for a Balanced Budget was an interstate compact among Alaska, Georgia, Mississippi, and North Dakota. The compact's goal was for the states to propose and ratify an amendment to the United States Constitution that would require Congress to pass budgets with particular rules. The compact was due to sunset on April 12, 2021.[1]
