The Compilation, Revision and Publication Committee is a former joint standing committee of the Mississippi State Legislature. The committee was required by statute to call for a membership "composed of the Speaker of the House of Representatives, the Lieutenant Governor of the State of Mississippi, the Speaker Pro Tempore of the House of Representatives, the President Pro Tempore of the Mississippi State Senate, the Chairman of the Rules Committee of the House of Representatives, the Chairman of the Senate Rules Committee, four (4) members of the House of Representatives to be named by the Speaker of the House, and four (4) members of the Senate to be named by the Lieutenant Governor." The committee's chair switched between the House Speaker and the Lieutenant Governor every May.[1]
