I believe that I offer a unique perspective from a variety of experiences. I am a woman of color who was a teen mother, a single and divorced mother, and who currently serves in ministry as an elder in my local church. I’m a life-long learner and have served in ministry for close to two decades.

I seek to be a voice at the State Capitol that seeks to aim for change. I want to create, support, and advocate for legislation that is both fiscally responsible and beneficial for our town.

Operating with grit and determination, I have overcome many challenges and have achieved many successes. I desire to use that same level of grit and determination if elected to office to represent the constituents of my district and state.
As a mother of four sons, I want to ensure a better future for my sons and all children. I am an advocate for safety and choice where education is concerned. Both staff and students need safe environments, and parents need choice regarding schools.

I have gone from little to no income to middle income and I feel in touch with issues affecting the everyday lives of individuals and families. The cost of healthcare, high taxes, out of control inflation, the state of the education system, right to life, and access to affordable housing are all issues that I care about.

My first job was through a summer youth program through the Chamber of Commerce when I was 15 years old. I worked at Middletown Adult Education in the main office doing clerical work. I later graduated with my maternal grandmother from the same institution with my adult high school diploma.
