Connecticut courts seeking public opinion on rules
May 31, 2011
Connecticut: Today the Rules Committee of the Connecticut Superior Court will hold a public hearing to gauge citizen feedback on proposed rule changes. The court wants to amend its Practice Book and Code of Evidence. One of the possible updates would expand the media coverage of trials, allowing television cameras in the court. This would occur at the discretion of the judge and those wishing to participate must seek permission in advance of trial.[1]
The full document of proposed changes can be found here.
