Biography

Connie Keogh was born in Red Lodge, Montana. She graduated from Absarokee High School. She earned a bachelor's degree from Eastern Montana College in 1977 and a graduate degree from Western Governors University in 2002. Her career experience includes working as a teacher.

I’m Representative Connie Keogh. With my agricultural background, my career as a teacher, my dedication to protecting the environment and my concern for the next generation and our aging population, if elected I’ll continue to show up and work for sustainable solutions that will create strong families, strong communities and a strong economy.

Please list below 3 key messages of your campaign. What are the main points you want voters to remember about your goals for your time in office?

• As your representative, I will work hard for: Housing on Montana can’t afford
• As your representative, I will work towards an equitable tax system.
• As your representative, I will work towards fully funding, our public education system.

What areas of public policy are you personally passionate about?

I currently am on the Education Budget subcommittee. My background as an educator and my interest in public schools drive my passion for making sure we provide an equitable education for all Montana students.

What is the first historical event that happened in your lifetime that you remember? How old were you at the time?

I was in the third grade when my mother took me to Billings to see President John F. Kennedy. It was shortly before he was assassinated.

What is your favorite book? Why?

This House of Sky by Ivan Doug.

What is something that has been a struggle in your life?

The death of my children’s father by suicide.

What organizations or individuals have endorsed your campaign?
