An effort to recall three judges on the Superior Court of Contra Costa County in California did not go to a vote in 2019. Recall supporters circulated petitions against family court judges Jill Fannin, Lois Haight, and Rebecca Hardie, but they did not submit the petitions to the county by the deadline on March 12, 2019.[1][2]

Recall supporters

The group Parents Against CPS Corruption said it initiated the recalls due to "the destructive malfeasance of Children and Family Services, aka Child Protective Services of Contra Costa County, and the Superior Court of Contra Costa County."[3]

Recall opponents

The three judges did not comment on the recall effort.[2]

Recall supporters began circulating petitions against the three judges in October 2018. To get the recall on the ballot, the petitions had to be submitted to the Contra Costa County Elections Division by March 12, 2019.[2] The county did not receive the petitions by the deadline.[1]
