Conyers Sales Tax Continuation, SPLOST (July 2010)
A Conyers Sales Tax Continuation measure was on the July 20, 2010 ballot in the city of Conyers, which is in Rockdale County.
This measure was approved
- YES 6,491 (57%)
- NO 4,822 (43%)[1]
This measure sought to continue a one percent sales tax that is already in place in the city. This tax is part of an intergovernmental agreement with the county government and the city to acquire SPLOST funds, $75 million would be collected if this tax is approved with around $11 million going directly to the city's funds. The money is being used for capital improvement projects and city officials said that will continue to be the use of the tax money.[2]
