Submitted Biography "I'm not a democrat nor a republican; I'm not even a politician. I'm a simple minded, 3rd generation fisherman, middle-class working husband and father trying to provide for my family. I am running for this position because I am frustrated with how politicians have taken control of our government. A government that is supposed to be of the people and by the people has turned into quid pro quo and back room deals and ultimately, they don't get anything accomplished. As a citizen of this great country, I have decided to raise my hand and say STOP! I chose to run as an Independent; that way I owe no devotion to either party. My devotion is to the people that I represent. I want to send Congress a clear message that We the People are fed up with their political nonsense. We the People tell our government what we want, not the other way around. Therefore, I ask that you, citzens of Washington State, stand up and yell STOP with me, by considering to cast your vote for me. And if elected, you can be sure, that I will Give'em HELL on the HILL! Thank you and God Bless. "

Key Messages

Our Constitution is a document in which "We the People'' tell the government what it is allowed to do. But lately, it seems like it is just the opposite. We have seen more and more government rules, regulations, and taxes. Basic rights provided in the Bill of Rights are being striped away little by little. Its time to STOP and remind congress who they are working for.

On February 19, 2020, the stock market floor cheered as they closed the day on a high note. NASDAQ closed at 9,817.18, the highest ever. Then COVID-19 killed our economy. This virus will not define us, we will overcome this challenge and I believe that we will survive this virus and our strong economy will return with a vengeance! The CDC has provided us with guidance and I believe that it is time to reopen our country, following the simple procedures outlined by the CDC. Our small businesses are suffering, our working family's are missing paychecks and wondering how they are going to pay their bills. Enough is enough!

Drop the bipartisan BS, congress needs to focus on coming together and getting stuff done, not playing political games.

REOPENING OUR STATES

Our country has been through a terrible ordeal this year. We have all had our lives turned up-side down. But, the original projections of how infectious the virus is has fallen far short of its target. It is time to end this quarantine and with appropriate protections, its time for us to go back to normal life.

HEALTHCARE
Obamacare did, for the first time, what no other medical reform bill has done, it gave free or discounted medical insurance to those lacking it. But it did so at a higher cost for the rest of the already insured. BUT, Who else can relate: When my medical plan was renewed after Obamacare was enacted, my premiums and co-pays increased significantly! So essentially, my premiums when up so others could afford it, that isn't right. Additionally, prescription prices have soared, medical prices have increased.

SECURITY
Our military is the first line of defense. We need to make sure that it is well equipped, well trained, well lead, well funded, properly prepared, and well paid. Our military deserves more! Further, our police forces are not respected, not by the people and not by the governments that employ them. Our police deserve better!

GOVERNMENT

And most importantly: Our constitution is very clear that our government is We the People... A government of the people by the people, we need to send a clear message to our government that they work for us, we tell them what to do, they DO NOT tell us what to do
First, I would say that I look up t my Dad. He taught me the concept of a good days labor for a good days pay. Put everything you have into everything that you do. Not only did he teach me how to change the oil in my car and turn a wrench, he taught me how to be a good father and a good man.

Second, I would have to say that my Mom has played a huge influence on my life, especially my moral character. I saw the hardships that she had to go through as a single mother with two kids working two or three job just to pay the bills. That influence was what really pushed me to finish high school, complete college, and be successful.

Those are the easy ones, usually young men look up to their parents. In terms of sports heros, I would say Shawn Kemp from the Seattle SuperSonics. At the time that he was drafted, he was one of the youngest players in the NBA. It impressed me how quickly he was able to adapt to and work with the team over the year to the point where they made their first playoff appearance in several years. While they were eventually defeated it was refreshing to see how graceful and appreciative he was.
The core responsibility for an elected official is quite simple. Their job is to represent the people that they serve, protect and defend the Constitution of the United States, and appropriately represent the interests of the country.
I vaguely remember the day that the Shuttle Challenger exploded. I would have been 4 or 5 years old. I don't remember the specific or the details, just the images run through my mind.
When I was 16, I applied for and accepted a job as a cook at Pizza Hut in Redmond, WA. Starting wage at that time was $4.90 per hour. I worked there a few nights a week and on weekends so I could have some extra money to buy myself a car and afford insurance. After 6 months, I had gained the respect from my manager and co-workers that I was promoted to a pert time Shift Supervisor. I remained in that role for a few years, and even was trusted to run the restaurant for a few week during my General Managers vacation. After I completed high school, I chose to attend Central Washington University, I attempted to transfer restaurant locations, but unfortunately, there was not a Pizza Hut in that area. So ultimately, I stayed with them for about 2.5 years.
Honestly, at the point that I am writing this, my company put these little motion activated noise boxes in the bathrooms at work. When they sense motion, they sing an annoying jingle 'Wash, wash, wash, wash you hand" or something to that affect.
Absolutely not! The purpose of the House of Representatives from the start was for the people to have an opportunity to have a voice in the government.
In 1947, Congress passed the 22nd Amendment limiting the President to two terms. Congress said "too much power for too long is a threat to our freedom." I believe that the same can be said of other elected officials, including Congress.
I would definitely be interested in joining any leadership role, or committee, wherever I can be used most effectively.
