Corey Brinson was a candidate for Connecticut Secretary of State in the 2010 election. He ran in the Republican Party primary for the seat that was occupied by incumbent Democrat Susan Bysiewicz, who officially announced in January 2009 that she would enter the governor's race in the state. A little under a year after he announced his entry into the race, he withdrew his name from consideration and endorsed Jerry Farrell for the statewide position.[1][2]
