Biography
O'Connor attended Central Catholic High School. He earned a bachelor's degree in elementary education from Duquesne University. His professional experience includes working as a community development representative for U.S. Representative Mike Doyle (D).[1]

The city of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, held elections for city council on November 3, 2015. A primary took place on May 19, 2015. The filing deadline for candidates who wished to run in this election was March 11, 2015. Five of the nine city council seats were up for election. In the primary election for District 5, incumbent Corey O'Connor faced Kimberly Kaplan. O'Connor was the winner.[2] He won re-election without opposition.[3]
