Corina C. Madruga was an at-large member of the Tolleson Union High School District in Arizona. Madruga assumed office in 2014. Madruga left office in 2020.

Madruga won re-election for an at-large seat of the Tolleson Union High School District in Arizona outright after the general election on November 6, 2018, was canceled.

Madruga filed to run in the Tolleson Union High School District November 4, 2014, general election, which was canceled due to a lack of contested races. She was appointed to the governing board by the Maricopa County Board of Supervisors on September 10, 2014.

Madruga attended Tolleson Union High School and went on to receive a B.S.B.M. and MBA in business from the University of Phoenix. She has worked in human resources for the city of Phoenix, Arizona, since 2006. She has been the human resources supervisor. She also attended the 2013 Valle de Sol Hispanic Leadership Institute-West.[1] Madruga has two daughters.[2]

General election

The general election was canceled. Corina C. Madruga (Nonpartisan) and Devin Del Palacio (Nonpartisan) won without appearing on the ballot.

2014

Two at-large seats were up for election on the Tolleson Union High School District's Governing Board in 2014. Corina C. Madruga and Devin Del Palacio ran unopposed for the open at-large seats. Incumbents Terri Hackett and Sue Sornsin did not file to run for re-election. The Maricopa County Education Service Agency recommended that the election be canceled and that the unopposed candidates be appointed to the governing board by the Maricopa County Board of Supervisors.[3]

Results

On September 10, 2014, the Maricopa County Board of Supervisors elected to cancel the district's elections and to appoint Madruga and Palacio to the governing board.[4]

Funding

Madruga reported $705.62 in contributions and $550.84 expenditures to the Maricopa County Recorder's office, which left her campaign with $154.78 on hand.[5]
