Biography

Green grew up in Bountiful, Utah. He is a disabled military veteran and a former CEO of three security patrol companies. He served in the U.S. Army from 1994 to 2002 and in the U.S. Navy from 2007 to 2011.^[1]

Who are you? Tell us about yourself.

I am a Constitutional Conservative Republican who puts the Constitution first. I served in the U.S. Army for (8 ) years and the U.S. Navy for (4) years as a police officer and I am currently a 100% rated disabled military veteran. I double majored in Criminal Justice and Sociology with a bachelors degree. I have owned and sold out two contract security companies and have business management and negotiation skills like the President which will help me get things done in Congress. I love the outdoors and have a wife and 4 kids. I am pro-life, pro religion and pro 2nd amendment and I will uphold all of our Constitutional rights!

I support the Tea Party and I was the Davis County, Utah Chair for the Ted Cruz for President campaign in 2016 in Utah. I took my Oath of Office to protect and defend the Constitution seriously and would do the same as a United States Congressman. I support President Donald J. Trump!

Please list below 3 key messages of your campaign. What are the main points you want voters to remember about your goals for your time in office?

Pay down the 23 trillion dollar National debt and protect social security.
Supports strict border security, punishments for sanctuary cities and NO to amnesty of any type
Keeping Washington DC out of Utah's business and out of our public lands and education system

What areas of public policy are you personally passionate about?

1. Voting NO to excessive spending. Time to pay down the 23 trillion dollar National debt.

2. Continuing to enforce border security and immigration policy. I will never vote yes to amnesty in any form. Cartels are terrorists and need to be treated as such.

3. The Constitution comes first. I will vote NO to any bill that does not meet textual originalist Constitutional standards.

4. Keeping Washington DC out of Utah!

5. Standing up to socialist liberals trying to destroy America and the Constitution.

6. Protecting Hill Air Force Base and supporting the mission of the base.

7. Protecting and improving healthcare for military veterans and getting more BVA judges approved to quickly resolve the backlog of 153,000 cases pending adjudication of vets disability claims.

8. Working with the President on a comprehensive healthcare plan.

9. Standing up to laws jeopardizing our 2nd amendment rights

10. Standing up for oil companies to get oil out of Eastern Utah.

11. To have an open door to my Constituents of Utah's 1st District.

12. Protecting our children's futures.

Who do you look up to? Whose example would you like to follow, and why?

I look up to my friend - United States Senator Mike Lee. As a fellow Constitutional conservative I look up to Senator Mike Lee. Senator Lee is 6 years older than I am. He has kept his campaign promises and has worked hard for "We the People of Utah". I would follow Senator Lee's example just as he has kept his Oath of Office and has protected the Constitutional rights of We the People. I volunteered on his first campaign in 2010 and his second one in 2016.

This is exactly the type of representative I vow to be. A steward of We the People. A protector of the original textual Constitutional powers. Protecting Utah's 1st Congressional Districts Constituents life, liberty and happiness! Like Mike, I am not afraid to stand up on my own two feet for what is right Constitutionally, against any political party member.

Is there a book, essay, film, or something else you would recommend to someone who wants to understand your political philosophy?

Senator Mike Lee's book called "Our Lost Constitution".
My political philosophy is putting the Constitution first. I believe if all Republican's and all Democrats actually followed the Constitution it would solve a lot of our Nations problems.

5. I have negotiation skills as a businessman like President Trump. There are 434 other members of the US House I would need to work with and negotiate with.
6. I would never compromise my oath of office or my textual originalist Constitutional beliefs .
7. I believe Utah is best with Washington D.C. out of Utah's business.
8. 100% disabled military veteran, that will put veterans before illegal aliens.
9. Fighting for border security and zero amnesty

What do you believe are the core responsibilities for someone elected to this office?

1. Representing the people and not their own interests.

2. Following the Constitution.
3. Voting no to any bills not given ample time to read.
4. Protecting American's rights.
5. Keeping illegal aliens out of the United States.
6. Voting no to wasteful spending and getting the 23 trillion dollar debt paid down or paid off.
7. Support President Donald J. Trump.

8. Protecting the Right to Life and all Constitutional rights of We the People!

What legacy would you like to leave?

I want to leave our country in a better place for my children and grandchildren and be regarded as a faithful military veteran and as a respecter of the founding fathers and the United States Constitution.

What is the first historical event that happened in your lifetime that you remember? How old were you at the time?

President Reagan's 1st Inauguration in 1981. I was 4 years old.

What was your very first job? How long did you have it?

I was a dairy clerk for Albertson's. I had that job for 3 years.

What is your favorite book? Why?

The Art of the Deal by President Donald J. Trump. Because as a businessman I relate to him and to the skills required to be successful and self sufficient.

If you could be any fictional character, who would you want to be?

Superman

What was the last song that got stuck in your head?

You have got to stand for something. By Country singer Aaron Tippen.

What is something that has been a struggle in your life?

My military service connected disabilities.

Being misjudged because of others lies.
Watching corruption in Utah go unchecked at the State level.

Seeing illegal aliens get away with decades of violating US law, until President Trump thankfully took office.

My Uncle was murdered by an illegal alien in Layton, Utah in 2000. This was a slap in my face as a member of the US Army at that time.

Lies about my character and good name.

What qualities does the U.S. House of Representatives possess that makes it unique as an institution?

1. The House controls the Power of the purse and is part of the Legislative Constitutional branch of Government.

2. They must (and often times fail) to put the Constitution first.

3. Protecting all American's Constitutional rights (including the rights of our President).

4. The U.S. House is a check and balance on the executive branch along side of the U.S. Senate.

Do you believe that it's beneficial for representatives to have previous experience in government or politics?

Absolutely NOT. I am not a career politician just like Senator Lee was not and just like President Trump was not. I believe in term limits and that having people in Congress with no previous experience is actually good and refreshing for We the People!

What do you perceive to be the United States’ greatest challenges as a nation over the next decade?

1. Getting our 23 trillion dollar National debt paid off, protecting social security.

2. Securing our Nations power grid and continuing to secure our Nations Southern border, treating cartels in Mexico just like we do middle Eastern terrorists and saying no to amnesty in any form. Punishing Sanctuary Cities.

3. Protecting the Constitution from liberal socialists.

4. Keeping the corrupt Democrats out of power.

5. Stop sending money to foreign countries or to illegal aliens and start focusing on America's Veterans, our homeless and our struggling single moms and protecting the middle class.

6. Bringing good businesses and jobs to rural Northern Utah!

If you are not a current representative, are there certain committees that you would want to be a part of?

I am not running for office to get on Committees, rather I am running to do what is right for Utah's 1st District. I would not mind serving on the Armed Forces Committee as a current disabled military veteran. Serving on the House Oversight Committee or the House Transportation Committee.

If you are a current representative, why did you join your current committees?

I am not a current Representative.

Do you believe that two years is the right term length for representatives?

Yes.

What are your thoughts on term limits?

I was the 1st candidate in my race to sign a pledge with U.S. term limits to support term limits. Six years for U.S. House members and 12 years for U.S. Senators.

If you are not currently a member of your party’s leadership in the U.S. House of Representatives, would you be interested in joining the leadership? If so, in what role?

I would not turn down any opportunities to lead.

Is there a particular representative, past or present, whom you want to model yourself after?

United States Senator Mike Lee of my State of Utah.

Both sitting representatives and candidates for office hear many personal stories from the residents of their district. Is there a story that you’ve heard that you found particularly touching, memorable, or impactful?

Yes, The Story of young Deserae Turner of Cache County Utah. She was shot in the head at age 14 and left for dead by a canal for 8 hours to die, until found. She survived and is "tougher than a bullet". She and her family still support the 2nd amendment and the United States Constitution and she is an example of faith, integrity and humility and has a positive outlook on life and continues to battle through her disabilities and trials and pain daily, stemming from the shooting incident. If I am elected to office and do not break any rules in doing so, I have pledged to donate 5% of my monthly salary in Congress to Deserae Turner to help with her medical bills and to help her get her robotic arm to help her have use of her paralyzed left arm.
