A Coulee City Town Reclassification proposition was defeated on the April 23, 2013, election ballot in Grant County, which is in Washington.
If approved, this measure would have changed Coulee City from classification as a Town to classification as a non-charter optional code city with a mayor/council form of government.[1]

Language on the ballot:
| “ | Shall the Town of Coulee City reclassify from a town to a non-charter optional code city with a mayor/council form of government? The reclassification from a town to a non-charter optional code city with a mayor/council form of government would change the governance of the Town from the provisions of RCW Chapter 35.27 to the provisions of RCW Chapter 35A.12.
