I’m Courtney Bullock, and I’m running for Register of Deeds for Franklin County. I have a background in real estate, which has given me firsthand experience with the importance of maintaining accurate and accessible property records. I’m passionate about serving my community and ensuring the Register of Deeds office operates with efficiency, transparency, and integrity. My goal is to modernize the office while making sure every resident and business has the best possible experience with the services provided. With a dedication to public service and a fresh perspective, I’m committed to improving the way records are managed and delivered.
  • I bring a fresh perspective to the Register of Deeds office, backed by my experience in real estate, where I’ve seen how critical efficient and accurate records are for families, businesses, and homeowners.
  • I am committed to modernizing the office to ensure that records are easily accessible and that the process is more transparent and user-friendly for all residents of Franklin County.
  • With a focus on integrity and excellent service, I will work to ensure that the office operates smoothly and meets the needs of our growing community.
1. Education and School Funding – I believe in the importance of properly funding our schools to ensure every child has access to quality education. Supporting our teachers, improving resources, and investing in our schools are essential for the future of our communities.

2. Pro-Choice and Women’s Rights – I strongly support a woman’s right to make decisions about her own body. I believe in protecting reproductive rights and ensuring that women have access to safe, legal, and comprehensive healthcare services.

3. Healthcare Access – Along with supporting abortion rights, I’m also passionate about improving access to healthcare for all, making sure that everyone has the opportunity to receive affordable, high-quality medical care.
I would like to leave a legacy of having made a positive impact on people’s lives. Whether through my work in public service or my community involvement, my goal is to empower others and contribute to a better future for all. I hope to inspire change and make a difference.
The first historical event I remember in my lifetime is President Obama becoming the first Black president of the United States. I was 16 years old at the time. This moment was significant not only for the country but also for many individuals who saw it as a milestone in the pursuit of equality and representation.
1. Record Keeping: The office is responsible for maintaining and preserving important public records, including property deeds, mortgages, and vital records such as birth and death certificates. This ensures transparency and provides a reliable historical account of property ownership and other critical information.

2. Accessibility: The Register of Deeds office serves as a crucial resource for residents, businesses, and legal professionals. By providing easy access to public records, the office facilitates real estate transactions, legal proceedings, and various personal and business-related matters.
3. Public Trust: The integrity and accuracy of the records held by the Register of Deeds office foster public trust in the local government. Ensuring that these records are meticulously maintained and up-to-date is essential for protecting property rights and supporting the local economy.

4. Community Support: The office plays a significant role in the community by offering services that help residents navigate important life events, such as home purchases, business ownership, and family milestones. This support enhances the overall quality of life in the community.
My campaign for Register of Deeds has been endorsed by Run for Something and Down Home NC. These organizations recognize the importance of fresh ideas and community-focused leadership, and their support reinforces my commitment to serving the people of Franklin County.
