Three of the seven seats on the Katy Independent School District board of trustees in Texas were up for general election on May 6, 2017. In her bid for re-election to Position 3, incumbent Ashley Vann defeated challengers David Velasquez and Candace Perkins. Position 4 incumbent Courtney Doyle defeated challenger Carlos Young. The Position 5 race included incumbent Henry Dibrell and challenger William Lacy. Lacy won election to the seat.[2][3]

Courtney Doyle is committed and dedicated.
Courtney has been volunteering in Katy ISD since her family moved here 5 ½ years ago. With a promise made to her own children that Mom would “Jump In” and help make their schools the best around, Courtney did just that. Volunteering at Griffin Elementary, opening Stanley Elementary and Seven Lakes Jr. High as the PTA president, holding other PTA positions such as VP of Membership, Fundraising and Council Delegate she is committed to being involved and dedicated to all children in Katy ISD. She is the recipient of the Texas PTA Lifetime and Extended Service Awards.

Courtney Doyle is Determined to help nurture the future of Katy ISD students. With a passion for Children,Education, Fine Arts, and Athletics, Courtney is determined to help Katy ISD continue to exceed with "top notch" education and opportunities for all children in Katy ISD. With 4 children ages 15, 13, 12, and 10 currently enrolled in Katy ISD schools, 1 graduate of Seven Lakes High School and one Toddler coming up, Courtney will be invested in Katy ISD for many years to come.

Courtney Doyle has a vision for Katy ISD.
With our expanding district Courtney has experienced first hand the challenges that come along with being in a “new” place. Courtney believes every student deserves the best… From education, to extra curricular opportunities. Experiencng diversity in her own home with 6 children each with unique passions and interests, Courtney has a vision for Katy to reach and expand the abilities of ALL children of this district.[8]
