Craig R. Atack was a candidate for the Flagler County Court of Florida in 2012. If elected, he would have been the third generation of his family to serve on this court, after both his father and mother.[1][2]

Elections

2012 election

Atack ran to replace retiring Judge Sharon B. Atack, his mother. He was defeated by Melissa Moore Stens in the general election on Nov. 6, 2012, receiving 48.9 percent of the vote. He previously received 24.6 percent of the vote in the seven-way primary race on August 14, 2012.[3][4][1][5]

Education

Atack received his bachelor's degree from the University of Florida and his J.D. from the Florida International University College of Law. He also holds a master's degree from the University of Florida.[6]

Career

At the time of his candidacy, Atack worked as an assistant public defender. He has also taught as an adjunct professor at Daytona State College.[6]
