Craig Greenberg
Craig Greenberg (Democratic Party) is the Mayor of Louisville in Kentucky. He assumed office on January 2, 2023. His current term ends on January 4, 2027.
Greenberg is running for re-election for Mayor of Louisville in Kentucky. He is on the ballot in the primary on May 19, 2026.[source]
Biography
Greenberg earned a bachelor's degree in political science and government from the University of Michigan in 1995 and a J.D. from Harvard University Law School in 1998. Greenberg's career experience includes founding the Greenberg Group, co-owning Ohio Valley Wrestling, and working as an attorney, a president, and a CEO.[1][2]

Craig is a longtime advocate for transparency and government reform. Serving as a member of the University of Louisville Board of Trustees, Craig led the effort to hold the former University President accountable for inappropriate financial dealings. While on the University Board of Trustees, Craig also spearheaded a successful effort to stop a proposed 5% tuition increase on students.
Craig is a strong supporter of Louisville’s labor unions. His campaign has been endorsed by 14 local unions representing more than 100,000 hardworking union families across the city. He has also been endorsed by Planned Parenthood and a number of local and statewide elected officials, including Governor Andy Beshear.
Craig has been married to his wife, Rachel, for 21 years and they have two sons, Daniel and Benjamin.- As mayor Craig will stop studying the crime crisis and take action to move us in a New Direction by cracking down on illegal guns, providing better training for police, and working together to make our city safer for everyone.
- Craig will stand up for a woman's right to choose, fight for better pay and lower costs, and invest in our community.
- As mayor, Craig will bring Universal Pre-K to Louisville so that every three and four year old in the city will have the same opportunity for success with their educational journey.
