Craig Greene
Craig Greene (Republican Party) was a member of the Louisiana Public Service Commission, representing District 2. He assumed office in 2017. He left office on December 31, 2024.
Greene (Republican Party) ran for re-election to the Louisiana Public Service Commission to represent District 2. He did not appear on the ballot for the primary on November 5, 2024.
Biography
The son of former state Senator Tom Greene, Craig Greene served as the head page of the Louisiana State Senate from 1993 to 1995. Following his 1996 graduation from Louisiana State University, Greene went on to attend the university's medical school, graduating in 2000. Greene held a one-year internship at Scott & White Hospital in Temple, Texas, followed by a four-year residency at the Texas A&M Department of Orthopedic Surgery and a one-year fellowship at Harborview Trauma Center in Seattle, Washington. In 2006, Greene joined the Baton Rouge Orthopaedic Clinic, where he was still employed at the time of his 2017 Public Service Commission campaign. From 2013 to 2015, Greene served as chief of surgery at Our Lady of the Lake Hospital.[1][2]

Greene was first elected to the public service commission in October 2017, when he defeated interim commissioner Damon Baldone (R) and Lenar Whitney (R) in a special election to fill the seat of commissioner Scott Angelle (R), who had resigned to accept a position with the federal Bureau of Safety and Environmental Enforcement.
