Craig Heard was a 2016 Republican candidate who sought election to the U.S. House to represent the 7th Congressional District of New Jersey.[1] Heard was defeated by incumbent Leonard Lance in the Republican primary.[2]

Lance defeated Craig Heard and David Larsen in the Republican primary, while Jacob faced no opposition for the Democratic nomination. The primary elections took place on June 7, 2016. Lance won re-election in the November 8 election.[3][4]
