Craig Martin
Craig Martin was a candidate for District 3 representative on the Greensboro City Council in North Carolina. He was defeated in the general election on November 7, 2017.
Biography
Martin earned a B.S. in information science and peace, war, and defense from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and a J.D. from Elon University.[1]
At the time of his 2017 run for city council, Martin was a juvenile public defender.[2] His professional experience includes work as an intern for the Greensboro Police Department, the Rockingham County Courts, the Fair Trial Initiative, the Central Virginia Legal Aid Society, and the Guilford County Public Defender's Office.[1]

Greensboro, North Carolina, held a general election for mayor and all eight seats on the city council on November 7, 2017. A primary election was held on October 10, 2017. The filing deadline for candidates who wished to run in this election was July 21, 2017.[3][4] Incumbent Justin Outling defeated Craig Martin in the general election for the District 3 seat on the Greensboro City Council.[5]
