Craig W. Richards (b. Fairbanks, Alaska) is a former Republican Attorney General of Alaska. He was first appointed to the position by Gov. Bill Walker (I) in December 2014 to replace former attorney general Michael C. Geraghty (R).[1] He announced on June 23, 2016, that he was resigning effective immediately in order to spend more time with his family.[2]

As attorney general, Richards oversaw the Alaska Department of Law, prosecuted violations of state criminal law, issued legal advice to state officers and agencies, and enforced other Alaska statutes.[3]
