Currie Mingledorff II is a judge of the Piedmont Circuit of the 10th Superior Court District of Georgia. He was first elected to the court in 2008 and was re-elected to a second term in 2012. Mingledorff last won re-election to a full term in the nonpartisan general election on May 24, 2016.[1]

Biography

Mingledorff received both his B.A. and J.D. degrees from the University of Georgia. Prior to joining the court, he was a county attorney for Barrow County, Ga.[2]

Georgia held elections for local judicial offices—some of which are partisan, others of which are nonpartisan—in 2016. On May 24, 2016, regions across the state held primaries for the partisan races and general elections for the nonpartisan races. Runoff races for both the partisan primaries and the nonpartisan general elections were held on July 26, 2016. The general election for partisan races took place on November 8, 2016. The filing deadline for candidates who wished to run in this election was March 11, 2016.[3]

Incumbent Currie Mingledorff ran unopposed in the general election for one of 20 seats up for election on the 10th District of the Georgia Superior Court.

Mingledorff ran unopposed for re-election to the Piedmont Superior Court.[4] Mingledorff was re-elected after receiving 99.8 percent of the vote on July 31, 2012.[5]
