Campaign website
Curtis Bashaw’s campaign website stated the following:
“ |
America is the greatest exception to tyranny in the history of humankind. Our great freedoms of speech, assembly, worship, conscious, enterprise, and self protection come with a price. That price is that you may have to live next to somebody you may disagree with. The "Golden Rule" says to do unto others as you would have them do unto you. If you do not want to be told what to do, then we should not tell our neighbor what to do. I believe the same rule should apply to our government. Our government should not be able to tell us what to do in our lives!
Domestic tranquility is a bedrock value enshrined in our nation's founding documents. However, today New Jerseyans and Americans are no longer feeling so safe and secure. Our wide-open southern border is a national security threat and a humanitarian crisis. Politicians also do not enforce the laws that are currently on our books. I'm running for the United States Senate to ensure that New Jerseyans and Americans can once again feel safe and secure in their homes and communities.
Americans put up with tiresome, one size fits all rules and regulations from our government daily. It should be the responsibilty of the government to unshackle our small businesses. I believe the best social program is a job. I'm running for the United States Senate to afford Americans the opportunity to work and thrive in our economy. Let's create new jobs and build the American opportunity our citizens crave for our children and grandchildren. [2] |
