Cynthia C. Sanders is a judge for the McKinley County Magistrate Court, Division 3, in McKinley County, New Mexico. She was appointed to the court by former Governor Bill Richardson in June 2010.[1] Sanders was re-elected in 2014 for a term that expires on December 31, 2018.[2]

Sanders ran for re-election to the McKinley County Magistrate Court.
Primary: She was successful in the Democratic primary on June 3, 2014, receiving 54.5 percent of the vote. She competed against Virginia Yazzie.
General: She was unopposed in the general election on November 4, 2014. [2][3] 

2010

Sanders was elected to the McKinley County Magistrate Court. She defeated Colbert Sherman in the Democratic primary, winning 52.7 percent of the vote. She ran unopposed in the general election, receiving 100 percent of the vote.[4]

Career

Before her appointment to the court, Sanders worked as a court monitoring specialist for the Mothers Against Drunk Driving organization. She also previously worked as a court clerk and judicial manager of the McKinley County Magistrate Court for twenty-five years.[1]
