Cynthia Carlson
Cynthia Carlson was a judge on the Lane County Circuit Court in Oregon. The court has jurisdiction over Lane County and is located within the 2nd Judicial District. She retired on December 31, 2014.[1]
2012 election
Carlson ran unopposed and was re-elected to the circuit court in the May 15th primary.[2][3]

Education
Carlson earned a B.A. in psychology from the University of Oregon and a J.D. from the University of Oregon School of Law.[4]
Career
Carlson served as a staff attorney for the Public Defender Services of Lane County, Inc. from 1979 to 1994. On February 25, 1994, she was appointed to the circuit court and has been elected and re-elected to the position since her appointment.[4]

- 2001: OSB President's Affirmative Action award
- 2003: Eugene Human Rights Commissions' MLK, Jr. Leadership award
- 2006: City Club of Eugene's Turtle award (given to those who "stick out their necks" to improve the community)[5]
