Howard ran in the 2012 election for New Hampshire State Senate, District 5.[1] Howard was defeated by Joe Osgood in the September 11th Republican primary election. David Pierce defeated Sandy Harris in the Democratic primary. The election took place on November 6, 2012.[2][3]
