Cynthia Kern
Cynthia Kern is a judge for the 1st Department of the New York Supreme Court Appellate Division. She assumed office in 2017. Her current term ends on December 31, 2025.
Kern (Democratic Party) is also a judge of the New York Supreme Court 1st Judicial District. Her current term ends on December 31, 2034.
Kern (Democratic Party) ran for re-election for judge of the New York Supreme Court 1st Judicial District. She won in the general election on November 5, 2024.
Biography
Kern received her J.D. degree from the New York University School of Law.[1] Kern began her career as Judge Joan Lobis' law secretary. Kern was elected to the New York City Civil Court in 2000 and was re-elected in 2010. She served on the New York Supreme Court from 2011 to 2017.[1][2][3]
