I am a Constitutional Conservative, mama bear and person of faith who understands that the citizens of the United States are self-governing. We elect representatives who are public servants tasked with being the voice of their constituents. Any elected official or anyone in an appointed government position who espouses and acts upon unconstitutional initiatives should immediately be removed from their position. Our nation has thrived with a government that is based on the will of We The People, and recent efforts to separate our citizens from their authority as citizens of the United States is clearly leading the nation into decline. Free and fair elections are the engine for power by the people and election integrity must be assured; because we otherwise will suffer the abuses of individuals appointed--- not elected--- to important positions by the effects of corruption.
  • Vigorous representation for the my constituents---not party politics, not national or international agendas. Any legislation that does not represent the values of Vermonters and could cause harm will not be supported. Legislative policy that is needed to support the community, and are in line with the precepts of The Constitution should be vigorously pursued and supported
  • Parental rights- There is an attack on parental rights by groups with extreme unconstitutional goals. This is not limited to the government schools but also includes organizations who would attempt to override an exclude parents from decisions involving their children. I will vigorously, if not furiously fight against efforts to undermine parental authority and involvement
  • Government representatives and officials are tasked with meeting the community's need for safety. Violence in the name of "protesting" will not be tolerated. All of our emergency responders, especially law enforcement, will be afforded the proper resources and community support necessary to keep Vermonters safe. This is an area in which an ounce of prevention yields a pound of cure.
As a Mom for Liberty, I fully intend to advocate for all Vermont families who have every right to direct and protect their children from agendas that have their roots in national organizations who have overtly declared parents as villains. When education associations demand parents be declared terrorists, it's time to remove them from the education process. Those organizations should be removed from the conversation, and in their place, the best advocates possible for the children---their families must be heard and their influence be tangible in the education being provided by the government for the children of We The People.
While our Heavenly Father is the primary person I seek to please, within the political realm John F. Kennedy is at the top of my list of political role models, for his intelligence, courage and balanced approach to his role. On my campaign materials I have quoted him.

"Let us not seek the Republican answer, or the Democratic answer, but the right answer."---John F Kennedy
Except for the Bible and The Constitution, there are no specific materials from which I take direction. I choose to be informed on important issues by as much material as possible, considering all perspectives. No book is my manifesto, no earthly person is my lead.
Elected officials must, without waiver, support and uphold The Constitution. That may take courage, determination, integrity and even faith.
Integrity---when people over the years have commented on "how nice I am", my response is typically that I am just trying to do the right thing.

Advocacy--being a mother of 5 I have advocated vigorously for them as has been needed over the years. This passion and skill for advocacy is what I will bring to a role as a legislator.

Commitment--as a student, I always "earned my A's". That is a commitment to bringing my best and working to the desired outcome. I could do no less for my constituents
A vote is the beginning of an agreement between the voter and the candidate. The voter rightly expects that an elected official will act on behalf of their constituents.

The core responsibilities of an elected official are to vigorously advocate for their constituents, always within the guiding framework of The Constitution
I would want my constituents to see that their government can work for them and for them to understand their power as a self-governing citizenry.
I remember the moon-landing. We didn't often watch TV during the day, but the whole neighborhood was glued to their television sets watching this event.

I was a cashier at a local supermarket. While the transaction (money) part was easy enough to do really well as I was an excellent student, I was really put out of my comfort zone behind books to meeting and interacting with thousands of people.
I was there for a few years until I left to attend Cornell University.
The Bible. That may seem "corny" to some, but I can pick it up, randomly find a page and start reading, and I feel loved and encouraged. Some people call it God's love letter to us.

Please know that I am an avid reader, and when I can't read I listen to content. But I just could never put any of the hundreds of books I have read before God's word.
"i walk alone"----I was meeting some fellow candidates for a sign wave, and there was some miscommunication, so I ended up waving at drivers and passengers going by alone. Well, except for my "good will ambassador", that is, my dog Beau...who loves going on sign waves!
There is nothing I would characterize as a "struggle". There have been challenges and difficulties, but I apply my best effort, pray for guidance and direction, and seek to acquire life lessons from those things, like the loss of my husband to cancer, going forward. What I say to people, as a widow, is that life isn't perfect, but it can still be good. I seek to thrive in honor of my late husband and set the example for my children to go forward with a positive attitude as well.

I have faced many challenges and will take on the ones that will come in the future.
