Cynthia Mitchell was a 2014 candidate for the justice of the peace court in Denton County, Texas (Precinct 5).[1]

Mitchell ran for election to the Denton County Justice Court.
Primary: She was successful in the Republican primary on March 4, 2014, receiving 23.3 percent of the vote. She competed against Mike Sweet, Danny Spindle, Mike Oglesby, Paul Moore and Mike Brucia.
Runoff: Because no candidate received more than 50 percent of the vote, Mitchell faced Oglesby in a runoff election on May 27, 2014. She was defeated, earning 35 percent of the votes cast.
