Cynthia Thomas Walker

Cynthia Thomas Walker is a district court judge for the 50th District Court in Michigan.[1] Walker was appointed to the bench in September 2003 by former Governor Jennifer Granholm to fill the vacancy created by the death of Judge William Waterman. She was appointed chief judge of the court in 2010.[2][3] On November 4, 2014, Walker was re-elected unopposed for another six-year term commencing on January 1, 2015, and expiring on December 31, 2020.[4]

Education
Walker obtained her undergraduate degree from Carthage College and her J.D. degree from the Valparaiso University Law School in 1982.[3][2]
Career
Prior to her elevation to the judiciary, Walker served as the court administrator for the 50th District Court. She also previously worked as the city attorney for Pontiac, Michigan, and as a staff attorney for U.A.W. Legal Services and Legal Services of Eastern Michigan.[2][3]
