“ | What is your political philosophy?
I am running because we need young, progressive leaders to do what others can’t in Dallas: create a city that works for people of all backgrounds. I have seen first hand through my job how certain forces trap people into a cycle of poverty. Things like a shortage of affordable housing, a lack of accessible mental health resources, and weak public infrastructure make it hard for people to achieve their goals. I am running because we can do better in Lake Highlands and Hamilton Park to meet the needs of our community. I will do this the best way I know how, by rolling up my sleeves and getting to work.[3] |

February 26 response
“ | What is your political philosophy?
I have worked for years with at-risk youth in Dallas county. I have seen how the lack of attention and investment has effected them and stopped them from breaking the cycle of poverty. Just recently a report revealed that more than half of Dallas families are unable to afford the basic necessities. City council can be able to deal with these issues, through focus on affordable housing policy and investment in public services.[3] |
