Butch Gautreaux
D.A. Gautreaux (b. December 12, 1947) is a former Democratic member of the Louisiana State Senate. He represented District 21 from 2000 to 2012. He previously served in the Louisiana State House of Representatives from 1996 to 2000.
Gautreaux attended Nicholls State University.
Gautreaux served in the United States Navy from 1968 to 1972. He then worked in tire sales from 1972 to 1976. From 1996 to 2000 he was Vice President of Marketing for Marsianin, Limited Liability Company Industrial Contractors. He is the owner of a retail home appliance and electronics store.

In 2007 Gautreaux was re-elected to the Louisiana State Senate District 21. Gautreaux (D) finished with 25,348 votes while his opponent Clayton Diaz (R) finished with 10,372 votes.[1]
