My career as an educator and a community organizer demonstrates my commitment to addressing the needs of my community and providing quality resources.

My experiences have helped me to understand the importance of advocacy and shown me how crucial it is to have someone in your corner. I am running because I believe in the power of community because this is where people are educated, where they work, and where they take care of each other.

And I believe that the best way for a community to thrive is for it to have an advocate that works for them, someone who pushes for equitable space and resources, prioritizes the physical and mental health of the community and strives to provide opportunities for work and education.
Pursuit of Equity

Protecting and expanding the civil rights and liberties of Ohioians is a key to improving overall quality of life for our communities. I believe that we should create space for fair and equitable access to housing and jobs so that people can work and build up their families and their communities.

During the 2020 election cycle, Ohio was a shining example of how to carry out the democratic process while our nation was rocked by political strife and a pandemic. Since then, some within Ohio have tried to disrupt the way we vote, limiting who can cast a ballot and reducing the ways and time we have to do so. As your representative I plan to advocate for the rights of voters and help to make sure that everyone’s voice is represented.
As your representative, I promise to help build and protect our communities, by keeping them safe and by making sure that the resources needed for success are accessible. Access to affordable housing is a human right. No human being in an economically rich country and state should have to be homeless.
Reproductive Rights and Affordable Childcare

Our General Assembly has made many attempts to Reproductive freedom and access to qualified health professionals is essential for women in Ohio. Laws that restrict the ability to receive safe and affordable abortions and the supply of contraceptives, inhibit productive lives in our communities. Legislation that supports reproductive justice is fundamental for equality for all Ohioan
Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez - First and foremost she is a Democratic Socialist. She was the youngest woman to ever be elected into the United States House of Representatives, and in doing this she was able to put a stop to an incumbent who was in office for more than 30 years. She embodies what it means to represent the people of New York and did this by creating a grassroots campaign that highlights that being a democrat means more than just the name. She created a movement that being a progressive candidate is what the United States needs, and how we will create a future where all people are included.
No, I believe that a State Representative should be someone who doesn't follow the leader. It should be someone who is community focused and puts their constituents first, always. As an elected leader this position acts as a public servant. One who continues to put in the hard work so it can reflect the people of Ohio.
Of course! As a legislature no matter the party we work for the people of Ohio. It is our focus to lead as a cohort, and a body of people that wants to make the Ohio communities grow.
Although our current climate for redistricting is rather unfortunate. I enjoy knowing that we have allowed the people of Ohio draw their own maps, and contribute their own ideals. This process shows that are current legislature has some compassion towards the Ohio people. Now all we need to do is pass the maps that the people truly want and deserve.
