As City Manager of East St. Louis, she worked to reduce the city's budget deficit, decrease contracts, lower crime, and bring resources into the city. During her tenure as City Administrator in Dellwood, she led recovery efforts to revitalize the West Florissant Avenue Corridor and bring back several businesses to Dellwood. As an urban planner with St. Louis, she helped bring Arlington Grove and North Sarah, two major mixed-use, mixed-income development projects two North St. Louis totaling $64 million and continues to work to redevelop North St. Louis and fight for equity in the community. She is an active organizer through her civic commitments, leadership, and dedication to improving the quality of life for underserved communities throughout the St. Louis Region for over 20 years. She has been a strong advocate for children throughout her career. For years, she worked with the PIIP program within SLPS to provide teenage parents' programs through NCBW. She is confident that her distinct blend of knowledge, leadership skills, and healthy relationships in the community can change our children's outcomes to help them thrive.
  • Implement a Wellbeing of Children Strategy to ensure our children's success.

  • Create strong content knowledge in early literacy development for teachers in early childhood education classrooms to increase literacy among our children.
  • Increase resource for children with disabilities and special needs
The school board should set the direction of our schools, advance policy, and build community relationships. A well-run school board plays a vital role in keeping the school district on track and putting students' best interests first. I would like to accomplish as a board member to develop, implement, and assess relevant educational programming and resources for educators, students, and parents.
