Dafna Michaelson Jenet
Dafna Michaelson Jenet (Democratic Party) was a member of the Colorado State Senate, representing District 21. She assumed office on September 19, 2023. She left office on February 13, 2026.
Jenet (Democratic Party) ran for re-election to the Colorado State Senate to represent District 21. She won in the general election on November 5, 2024.
Jenet was appointed to the Senate to replace former Sen. Dominick Moreno (D).
Jenet resigned from the Colorado State Senate District 21 on February 13, 2026.[1]
Biography
Dafna Michaelson Jenet graduated from the School for the Creative and Performing Arts in 1991.[2] Jenet earned a B.A. in music and drama from Yeshiva University in 1995 and an M.B.A. from the University of Denver in 2001. Her career experience includes co-founding the Journey Institute and working as its president, the curator of TEDxCherryCreek, and a social media and community engagement coordinator with the National Parent Leadership Institute.[2][3] Jenet has served on the board of the Adams County Youth Initiative board and has been affiliated with The Commerce City Quality Community Foundation, The Carson J. Spencer suicide prevention foundation, and Playworks Colorado.[3]
