|- Supporting public safety should be a priority of county government, as well as maintaining safe roads and bridges.
- Responsibly setting aside funds for the future maintenance of Platte County's parks, trails, and community centers is also a financial priority. Dagmar has worked to increase transparency by making all administrative session documents accessible online and posting sessions on live and archived on YouTube. and values working with officeholders and department heads to ensure the responsible stewardship of taxpayers' resources.
- During Dagmar’s term, the Platte County Commission filed a lawsuit to protect taxpayers from paying a developer’s revenue shortfall to pay off parking garage bonds. The payments due at the time and demanded by the trustee totaled up to $40 million and would have required a tax increase and/or cuts in law enforcement. In December of 2020, after three years of fighting on behalf of taxpayers in the courts, the Platte County Commission prevailed.
