How is fundraising going for the parties and congressional party committees?

RNC fundraising nearly doubles that of the DNC in 2018's first quarter while DSCC has twice as much cash on hand as the NRSC

The unemployment rate has dipped below 4 percent, and political parties are seeing record fundraising.

The Republican National Committee (RNC) raised just over $39 million in the first quarter of 2018, nearly double the amount raised during that same period by the Democratic National Committee (DNC) of nearly $22 million. March 2018 was the highest monthly fundraising amount in a non-presidential election year for the RNC.

The Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee (DSCC) reported having over $15 million more in cash on hand at the end of March than the National Republican Senatorial Committee (NRSC), according to reports filed with the Federal Election Commission.

The major parties' House campaign committees were roughly equal in amounts raised and spent in the first quarter of 2018. The Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee (DCCC) and National Republican Campaign Committee (NRCC) each reported having over $57 million in cash on hand as of March 31, 2018.
