Welcome to the Thanksgiving edition of the Daily Brew!
Many of our writers and researchers are traveling—by planes, trains, and automobiles—home for Thanksgiving dinner. I’ll be joining my family just around the corner from where I live. In many families, everyone at the dinner table takes turns reflecting on something they are thankful for. Mine is no exception.
Since this email gives me the opportunity to join you at your [breakfast] table, I wanted to share what Ballotpedia is thankful for this year: you.
Thank you for visiting us.
Leading up to the general election, we were one of the top 100 most-visited websites in the United States. Ballotpedia’s articles have been viewed by over 46 million readers in 2018, a figure which represents about 40 percent of the 114 million people who cast votes in this year’s general election.
Thank you for using the tools we’ve worked hard to build for voters.
Four million people accessed our sample ballot tool before heading to the polls this year! That support is incredibly inspiring for our entire team that works to put our sample ballot tool together. We’re so grateful that you found the tool useful, and we’re energized to continue to expand and improve upon our products.
Thank you for subscribing.
Because of your desire to stay informed, you’ve allowed me into your inbox, an honor I don’t take lightly. It is awesome to share the Daily Brew with you each morning.
Wishing you a lovely dinner, free from political arguments (if that’s what you want).
Sincerely,
Sarah and the entire Ballotpedia team
P.S. We’ll return with the Brew on Monday.
Happy Thanksgiving
