Biography
Daisy Shotwell was born in Memphis, Tennessee. She earned a high school diploma from East High School, a bachelor's degree from the University of Memphis in 1988, a graduate degree from Oral Roberts University in 2003, and a graduate degree from the Luther Rice University and Seminary in 2011. Her career experience includes working as a teacher.[1]

|I bring several educational achievements and experiences to build upon. I have a Ba in Business Marketing, University of Memphis, Master of Education, Oral Roberts University, and a Master of Divinity, Luther Rice University and Theological Seminary. I also acquired several doctoral courses in Leadership. In addition, I bring over 30 years of work and life experience as part of a collaborative leadership team which spans business, education and church ministry. This has included many presentations, awards, several book publications, and honors.
Some of the skills that I have used over decades of life, working, and personal research in education, business, and ministry as well as volunteering in the community are some of what state representatives need. Some of these are knowledge of legislative process and procedures, ability to interpret and analyze education, ability to communicate effectively with constituents and colleagues, excellent public speaking and debating skills, strong interpersonal and negotiation skills, proficiency in research.- I support educational literacy.

- I support Safe City Empowerment. City health begins with the physical safety of its residents. We must make our city safe for our children, women, seniors, and our special needs population. It is a biblical principle that if we take care of the more vulnerable and those who cannot care for themselves, God's hand of blessing will be upon us. I will work collaboratively to make Memphis a place of peace, freedom, safety, and prosperity.
