Biography
Dale Ash graduated from Rincon High School. He attended the University of Arizona and earned a bachelor's degree from Brigham Young University in 1981. His career experience includes working as a sales manager.[1]

I will vote yes: • For transparency & fairness for voters, especially on taxation bills. • Bills that respect medical and other necessary privacy issues. • To remove Utah state tax on Social Security income. Maintain a positive business environment to provide jobs for all and especially parents of children. Minimal regulations, balanced state budgets, and support of free-enterprise are crucial.
Government's key role is infrastructure. Ensure master planning for roads, parks, schools, hospitals, mass transit where appropriate, and affordable housing.
Support & honor veterans, national guard, law enforcement, and firefighters.
Collaboration between federal, state, county, and municipal governments is important.
You have to show up and spend the time needed to be effective. Former legislators confirm this is not a part time job. It requires a lot of time throughout the year, not just during the 45 day legislative session. I am retired and willing to spend whatever time is necessary to effectively represent all voters in my district.
I am committed to preserving and protecting the freedom and quality of life of all Utahns. Elected officials are the watchdogs for "We the People." We need to preserve and protect the freedoms and protections elucidated in the Declaration of Independence, The United States Constitution & Bill of Rights, and the Utah Constitution. We also need to protect our citizens from excessive and burdensome taxation by seeking to limit the size of government.
We have a responsibility to dig out factual information. To listen to citizen advocates. To be creative in finding collaborative solutions to difficult issues. To ensure accountability and effectiveness of tax dollars spent. To champion ways to minimize or eliminate fraud, theft, or misuse of precious tax dollars. To make hard decisions regarding prioritization of spending to ensure critical needs are funded first. To champion transparency in taxation in any form. To seek expert input on issues. To be the people's champions. To work hard to understand the needs of business sectors that provide so many of the people's needs.
I am analytical coupled with patience to dig out facts and truth regarding issues.
I enjoy talking to people and learning from their experiences and expertise.
I enjoy the sense of satisfaction that comes from tackling difficult challenges and overcoming them.
I believe in transparency, honestly, and clear communication. The people have a right to know. We the People are in charge of our government, not the other way around.
I am a champion of the people's rights and the principles and protections embodied in the Declaration of Independence, The United States Constitution, and the Bill of Rights.
I believe that tax dollars are as precious as charitable donations and should be protected and used wisely. I am opposed to any form of corruption and will champion protection of precious tax dollars from fraud and misuse.
I have a collaborative management style and believe that building and achieving consensus are critical to good decision making.
