Dale Brott is a member of Ballotpedia's Board of Directors. He is also a member of the National Review Institute's Board of Directors. Brott served as Chairman and CEO of the National Review from 2019 to 2023. He founded DRB Systems in Green, Ohio.[1]

Biography

In 1984, Brott founded DRB systems, a software company in Green, Ohio. He worked there as the president until May 2015 and retired from its board in 2017. Brott joined the National Review's Board of Directors in 2018, volunteering as its chairman and CEO from 2019 to 2022.[2] As of 2026, Brott remains a member of National Review's board and is also a trustee of National Review Institute.[3]

Brott joined the National Review's Board of Directors in 2018. As of January 2026, the National Review Institute's, website listed the following as the National Review's mission[4]

National Review defends and advances the ordered liberty that is necessary to human flourishing and to a free, prosperous, and strong America.

Since 1955, National Review magazine has defined the modern conservative movement and enjoyed the broadest allegiance of American conservatives. National Review Institute was founded by William F. Buckley Jr. as a nonprofit, 501(c)(3) charitable organization in 1991. NRI’s mission is to preserve and promote Buckley’s legacy, support the National Review mission, and advance the principles of a free society through educational and outreach programs.[5]

Incorporation of Green, Ohio

Brott was involved in the efforts to incorporate his hometown of Green, Ohio, which was established as a city in April 1992. In a 30th anniversary video posted to the city's YouTube channel in 2022, Brott said, "I got involved because of my computer background. I was kind of the young whiz kid who knew how to take data from the Board of Elections and from the Recorder's office because we actually had to have a process where we got signatures of over half the landowners to say that they were in favor of the incorporation."[6] Since Green's incorporation, Brott has served the city in various advisory and elected roles. As of 2026, Brott has been a member of Green's Community Improvement Corporation since 2001.
