There was a Damascus Charter Amendment for Intergovernmental Approval measure on the March 9 ballot in Clackamas County for voters in the city of Damascus.
This measure was defeated
- YES 1,373 (44.38%)
- NO 1,721 (55.62%)

This measure sought to change the city charter so that there would have been a need to get voter approval if there was to be intergovernmental agreements made. If this had passed, then any previous agreements made will have to go to a citizen vote.[2]
