This measure sought to replace the current school levy which is set to expire with one set at a rate of $2.17 per $1,000 of assessed propety value for a further two years in order to continue to pay for educational maintenance and operational costs in the district.[2]

The question on the ballot:
The Board of Directors of Damman School District No. 7 adopted a Resolution on December 13, 2011, concerning a proposition to meet the eduational needs of the District's students. This proposition authorizes the District to levy the following excess taxes, to replace an expiring levy, on all taxable property within the District, to support the District's educational maintenance and operations: Collection Years: 2013-2014; Approximate Levy Rate/$1,000 Assessed Value: $2.17, $2.32; Levy Amount: $210,000, $225,000. All as provided by Resolution adopted on December 13, 2011. Should this proposition be approved?[3] |
