Damon Chetson is a criminal defense attorney in Wake County who seeks to bring common sense criminal justice reform to our capitol county. He is a former Democratic National Convention delegate for 2020, and a past volunteer lawyer who represented people charged with post-related violations in the Moral Monday protests in Raleigh. He lives with his wife Catherine in Raleigh, North Carolina.
  • I will end the death penalty in Wake County.
  • I will end the prosecution of adult-use quantities of marijuana
  • I will build an inclusive prosecutor's office that prosecutes violent crime to keep all our neighborhoods safe.
I will focus on bringing sensible criminal justice reform to Wake County by building a better Wake County District Attorney's Office that focuses on violent crime and expands opportunities for substance abuse, mental health, and veterans treatment and deferral programs.
