Damond Watkins was elected in 2016 to a four-year term as the national committeeman of the Republican Party of Idaho.[2] Watkins is the president of Stelvio Strategies in Idaho Falls, Idaho.[1]
Career
In 2002, Damond Watkins served as director of administration for the Watkins Company. He remained with the company until 2005, when he joined the Idaho-based retailer Melaleuca as vice president of corporate relations. In 2016, Watkins became president of Stelvio Strategies, a marketing and public affairs firm.[1]
Watkins serves on the board of the Idaho Association of Commerce and Industry.[3][4]
Political and party activity
In 2007, Watkins served as a finance advisor to Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney.[1][2] Watkins was elected as national committeeman in 2011. In June 2016, he was re-elected as the national committeeman for the Republican Party of Idaho, though he ran unopposed.[5] Watkins also served on the Romney campaign in 2012.[3]
