Dan Blue (Democratic Party) is a member of the North Carolina State Senate, representing District 14. He assumed office in 2009. His current term ends on January 1, 2027.
Blue (Democratic Party) ran for re-election to the North Carolina State Senate to represent District 14. He won in the general election on November 5, 2024.
Blue currently serves as state Senate minority leader.
Biography
Blue earned his B.S. in mathematics from North Carolina Central University in 1970. He went on to receive his J.D. from Duke University Law School in 1973. Blue was an employee at the Law Offices of Terry Sanford from 1973 to 1976. He has been partner at Thigpen, Blue, Stephens and Fellers Law Firm since 1976.
