Dan Champagne (Republican Party) was a member of the Connecticut State Senate, representing District 35. He assumed office in 2019. He left office on January 4, 2023.

Champagne (Republican Party) ran for re-election to the Connecticut State Senate to represent District 35. He won in the general election on November 3, 2020.

Champagne served as State Senator for Connecticut State Senate District 35 from 2019-2023.

Biography

Dan Champagne received an associate degree in criminal justice from Manchester Community College, a bachelor's degree in sociology from Eastern Connecticut State University, and an MPA from UConn. He served in the Army National Guard from 1987 to 1992, as a Vernon police officer for 22 years, and as Vernon's mayor beginning in 2013. He also served on the Vernon Town Council from 2005 to 2011. [1]

Champagne was elected to the Connecticut State Senate in 2018. In the 2019 session, he served as the Senate Republican Whip, as Ranking Member of the Connecticut General Assembly’s Planning and Development Committee, and as a member of the Public Safety and Security Committee and the Judiciary Committee.[1]
